Left Hand Brewing Company of Longmont, CO, is in the process of celebrating its tenth year in the beer business. The brewery was founded in 1993 from the idea that the people in the U.S. were ready for beers brewed for great flavor. "We see beer as a wonderful food to complement meals and social occasions, rather than a commodity to be sold via huge media campaigns to the masses," said Eric Wallace of Left Hand. "Ten years into it, we seem to have found enough discriminating people looking for great beer to keep us going and growing in the beer business." Wallace said that the company has released a special oak-aged, bottle conditioned edition of its Imperial Stout to commemorate the occasion. (See story at left). "Lovingly tended to over the past year, it is packaged in a screen printed, 750ml corked bottle and bottle conditioned," Wallace said. "Only 215 cases were made."
