Iraq For Sale is the new film by Robert Greenwald (Walmart: the high cost of low price, Outfoxed and Uncovered). In the film Greenwald unravels the extent to which private companies (especially Halliburton) are involved in exploiting the situation in Iraq for profit. The level of privatisation in and around the existence and actions of the US Army is alarming, and dangerous for the soldiers, but this is not a simple attack on corporations making things dangerous for the poor soldiers. Greenwald takes us inside the lives of soldiers, truck drivers, widows and children who have been changed forever as a result of corporate greed in the 'reconstruction' of Iraq. Iraq for Sale uncovers the connections between private security companies making a killing in Iraq and the decision makers who allow them to do so. Jeetje !
