Originally from the suburbs of Los Angeles, Matt Groller now lives and works in the city. In 2004, he received his BFA (with Honors) from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. Aside from painting, Matt enjoys music, teaching, philosophy, and the ocean. He recently adopted a kitten named Vaughn who is mostly peaceful, when he’s not attacking feet or eating cadmium red paint. Every Fall, Matt journeys to Oklahoma to work as a caricature artist at the State Fair in Tulsa, keeping him in tune with his roots, and maintaining a balance between the past and present.
