The subjects of my series are often simple, everyday moments. They may consist of a tree, a discarded photograph, or the corner of a room. By looking to the mundane, I want to help the viewer look beyond the familiar and see common human experiences.

These themes are evident in one of my recent projects entitled “Forgotten,” a work comprised of photographs and video pieces. The “Forgotten” series speaks to the transitory nature of identity and existence. Memories make up who we are, and once forgotten, our identity and its defining moments are lost.
