If I were to give my body of work a title, it would be, "Propaganda for the Soul". The motivation behind my work is a need to find a position. I want to set up the viewer and hold them. I do this by simplifying my imagery, distilling it, and then consider the best way to spark my audience`s interest and self-reflection. This "Position", whether it be physical, social, historical, spiritual etc... seems to manifest itself when I produce moments that bear witness.

Realistic representation is my vehicle that best suits my aims, however these are fabricated moments of acute clarity of mind not necessarily clarity of sight. Through open narratives, my aim is to make the viewer feel absolutely present.
